Who can join the academy?

At our global K-12 academy, we welcome students from every level of chess experience, regardless of their location or grade in K-12. Whether your child is a beginner eager to learn the fundamentals or an advanced player aiming to enhance their skills, our academy provides an inclusive and enriching chess education for all.

What is your coaching experience?

With over two decades of experience, our highly experienced coaches have mentored students of all ages and skill levels. Many of our students have gone on to become state and national champions, earning our academy national recognition for outstanding individual and team performances in various tournaments.

How are the classes set up?

Our classes are exclusively virtual, conducted via Zoom once a week, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. Leveraging the combined platforms of Zoom and chess.com, our group sessions foster collaborative learning. During classes, coaches cover homework, provide dedicated lectures for new concepts, engage in interactive activities, and share enjoyable learning videos for students.

What goals and visions do you have for students?

We believe in empowering students to envision their own success and create their own targets. Our approach is student-driven, ensuring that each individual's goals and aspirations take center stage. Our collective vision is to guide and support our students on a journey towards excellence. We focus our efforts on helping students succeed in state and national level tournaments, while also setting sights on titles like Candidate Master and National Master. In addition, for those aspiring to reach the pinnacle, we aim to build them up and achieve the prestigious title of Grandmaster.

How can parents contribute to their child's chess success?

Parents play a pivotal role in fostering their children's chess growth. Consistency and repetition are key components of success in chess, and ensuring that kids attend classes regularly is crucial. Additionally, taking children to tournaments throughout the year, whether nearby or in another state, provides invaluable playing experience and exposes them to different playing styles. Encouraging a love for the game through friendly matches at home and engaging in chess-related discussions further nurtures a child's passion for chess. Lastly, being a supportive presence during both victories and setbacks helps create a positive and resilient mindset, laying the foundation for long-term success in the world of chess.
