2020 - 2021 Cincinnati Scholastic Chess Series

Tournament Description:

Since 2007, Cincinnati Scholastic Chess (CSC) has been organizing chess tournaments in the greater Cincinnati area for scholastic players (grades K through 12). The annual CSC Series offers one tournament per month from October through March and recently resumed over the board play after being virtual for nearly a year.

October 2020 Series Tournament results:

➢ In all, a total of 29 RK Chess Gurukul students won awards and were placed in the Top 9 in the greater Cincinnati region in their respective sections! This includes:

♟. 1st place & 3 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-1300 section

♟. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, & 3 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-815 section

♟. 2nd, 3rd place, & 5 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-1100 section

♟. 2nd, 3rd place, & 2 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-950 section

♟. 2nd, 3rd place, & 4 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-700 section

♟. 2 Honorable mention awards in the Open section

November 2020 Series Tournament results:

➢ In all, a total of 26 RK Chess Gurukul students were placed in the Top 9 in the greater Cincinnati region in their respective sections! This includes:

♟. 1st, 3rd place, & 2 Honorable Mention awards in the Open section

♟. 1st place & 2 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-1300 section

♟. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, & 4 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-725 section

♟. 2nd, 3rd place, & 4 Honorable Mention awards in the Under-1060 section

February 2021 Series Tournament results:

➢ In all, a total of 22 RK Chess Gurukul students were placed in the Top 100 in the United States in their respective sections!

➢ RK Chess Gurukul won a total of 5 team awards, the most by any other team in the nation! This includes:

♟. 1st place team award in the 12 & Under section

♟. 2nd place team award in the 10 & Under section

♟. 3rd place team award in the 14 & Under section

♟. 4th place team award in the 6 & Under section

♟. 5th place team award in the 8 & Under section

March 2021 Series Tournament results:
