2021 Queen City Classic Chess Tournament
Tournament Description:
The 2021 Queen City Classic chess tournament was conducted online on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Hosted by international grandmasters Maurice Ashley, Gregory Kaidanov, and Irina Krush, it was the 20th anniversary of this prestigious tournament which happened virtually on chesskid.com but featured players from over 10 states!

Academy Results
➢ In all, a total of 41 RK Chess Gurukul students placed in the Top 10 in their respective sections! Of this, six players achieved First Place in their sections!
➢ RK Chess Gurukul won a total of 8 team awards, the most by any other team at the tournament! This includes:
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 1 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 2 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 3 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 4 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 5 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the Grade 6 Non-Rated section
♟. 1st place award in the K - 3 Open section
♟. 1st place award in the 4 - 6 Open section
